What is GO 2010?

Are you a young person aged between 14 and 18 and have a passion to make a difference? Or are you a church leader with a vision but looking for people to help run a community-focussed outreach activity? If so, then GO.Festival could be what you have been looking for. The plan is for GO.Festival to be three days of worship, equipping, training and activities which will equip you for GO.Serve, a week of missions running simultaneously across the area of North London and Herts.

We believe that God is raising up young people to bring the hope and love of Jesus into our communities through acts of service, prayer and through the outpouring of God’s heart.

During GO 2009 we saw God impact the lives of young people through the act of mission and service and we have seen this new found enthusiasm grow in their lives as the year has continued. We have been involved in training and releasing young people, seeing a number of young people come to faith and begin to ‘ride the wave’ of God’s out pouring grace across north London and Hertfordshire and are sure that this is only just the start. God has more in store as we GO.

“I want to see the presence of God impacting our communities, homes and churches. Let’s reach up and pray that God’s kingdom will come on earth as it is in Heaven. Let’s see lives changed, houses, streets and schools shaking and a group of people so on fire for Jesus that they will not take NO for an answer. Are you one of these people?”

GO.FESTIVAL - in conjunction with 'Sublime in the Park'

(30th July - 2nd August 2010)

Camp at the campsite then in the mornings travel by bus to the teaching venue for breakfast, to hear inspirational speakers and to enjoy awesome worship. There will be a full programme of different topics and seminars and a range of speakers who will teach and equip us from the Bible.

In the afternoons we can try out some of what we have learnt with some outreach on local streets on the Saturday and a big outreach event, run with Sublime, on the Sunday.

In the evening there will be an opportunity to hear some great bands.

GO.SERVE - in conjunction with local churches

(2nd - 8th August 2010)

Straight from the festival we will be sending mission teams to hook up with local Churches and organisations. Here the teams will run events and activities that will impact the community and local church.

GO.CELEBRATE

(8th August 2010)

We hope that everyone who was involved in the festival weekend, the mission teams and local churches will join us for a final celebration and time of worship and testimony. We will host an event which will hold about 850 people and it will be a great chance to invite those people who been touched by the mission teams and would like to hear more. We will also GO.CELEBRATE what God has been going through GO.SERVE.

SUBLIME

From 2010 GO will be working in partnership with Sublime to provide evangelism training for people attending the GO.FESTIVAL. Sublime aims to serve the community by meeting the social, educational and behavioural needs of young people and empowering them to make wise lifestyle choices.
